Cleaning old Silver and Silver Plate

I picked up this pile of sliverware for a $1 to use for Jewelry Creations.  It was so Tarnished and Dirty.
I cleaned it up by soaking it in my kitchen sink with a sheet of tin foil, 2 Tablespoons of Salt, and a sink full of water.  I let it soak for a few minutes.  I had to do it a couple of times but it really was an easy way to shine up old silverware.
