These are Vintage wall pockets made out of resin.   I painted them white and lightly distressed them. They would be great used out in the garden or Perfect for a shabby chic bathroom.

Creating Living Wreaths with Sedum

I wanted to create something to hang on one of my old barn doors that I have throughout my gardens.
I filled the small pots with some sedum but will probably add to it after this takes off.

I have too many fun projects - I really need to be cleaning up my flower beds!

Making Garden Nests

Beautiful Morning to Garden

I just got started with yard work this morning and I found this little guy on my front Step!
It is so beautiful outside this morning it is hard to focus on working!

The Start of Planted Garden Chairs

I have had this Vintage Chair since College.  It was a Garage sale find for $5 years ago. This chair has been painted Blue, Green, and Black with the seat covered in many different fabrics.  I was almost ready to part with it;  but then I decided to give it one more life in the Garden.  I sanded it and peeled away some of the layers of old paint and then gave it a coat of Yellow Milk Paint- Miss Mustard Seed Yellow- and a thin layer of Antique wax.  I love the rough chippy look with some of the old paint colors showing through.  I think it will take on a whole new look as it ages in the garden.  I lined the seat with wire and Moss and filled it with potting soil mix.  I can't wait to get it planted for Spring.
I think I will be making a few more of these.

Strawberry Crisp with Greek Yogurt

Filling:

•2  to 3 cups (8 ounces/250 grams) strawberries, hulled and halved lengthwise
•1/2 cup (4 ounces/125 grams) sugar

Topping:
•1 cup (5 ounces/155 grams) all-purpose flour
•1/2 cup (1.5 ounces/45 grams) old-fashioned rolled oats
•1/3 cup (3 ounces/90 grams) sugar
•1/3 cup (2.5 ounces/75 grams) firmly packed golden brown sugar
•1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
•1/4 teaspoon salt
•1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

Directions:
1.Position a rack in the middle of the oven, and preheat to 350 degrees F. Have ready a 2.5 quart ceramic or glass pie dish or baking dish.

2. For the Filling: In a large bowl, stir together the strawberries and sugar until well mixed. Pour into the baking dish, and set aside.

3. For the Topping: In a large bowl, stir together the flour, rolled oats, sugars, cinnamon and salt until well blended. Stir in the melted butter until evenly moistened crumbs form. Spoon the crumb mixture over the filling.

4. Bake the crisp until tender when tested with a toothpick, the juices are bubbling, and the topping is golden brown, 35-40 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack, and let cool for 10 minutes. Serve warm.

Note: The crisp can be cooled, covered with plastic wrap and stored at room temperature for up to 2 days. Rewarm in a 250-degree F oven for 15 minutes before serving. Preferably with a substantial scoop of vanilla ice cream.

We loved this with a scoop of Greek Yogurt!
