Very Good Chocolate Bundt Cake

Ingredients - for the cake

* 1 large box milk chocolate cake mix
* 1 12 ounce package milk chocolate chips
* ¾ cup finely chopped pecans
* 4 eggs
* ½ cup vegetable oil
* ¼ cup water
* 1 ¼ teaspoon vanilla
* 1 4 ounce package instant chocolate pudding mix
* 1 cup sour cream

Ingredients - for the frosting

* ½ cup butter
* 1 cup brown sugar
* ¼ cup evaporated milk or half & half
* ¼ cup sifted powdered sugar


* In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons dry cake mix with the chocolate chips and pecans. Set aside.
* Combine cake mix, eggs, oil, water, vanilla, pudding mix and sour cream. Mix very well in a mixer
* Fold in the chocolate chip and pecan mixture
* Pour the batter into a greased and floured 12 cup bundt pan
* Bake in a 350 degree oven for 55 minutes. Let cool for 25 minutes then invert onto a plate. Cool completely.
* In a small saucepan, combine butter and brown sugar
* Stir constantly until it bubbles then add the milk and powdered sugar
* Remove from heat
* When cake is completely cooled, frost

Steph this is John's favorite cake. We always make it for his birthday. At Christmas or in the winter I make a white icing with peppermint that really gives the cake a different flavor. Lynn
