Perfect crafts for Winos: Wine Cork Wreath and Cork Board

What to do with too many Wine Corks?? Next I will try a serving Tray. These projects makes me thirsty!

I got a whole bunch of new stamps and ink pads from the scrapbook club. I decided to make a bunch of Thank you cards at one time to have on hand. I had fun spending an afternoon creating them. It was great to have coordinating paper and ink colors.

We visited a beautiful garden in Omaha full of Dalylilies- they had over 450 different varieties.

Corn and Chickpea Salad

Makes 8 servings

Rub 8 ears of corn with olive oil, season with salt and freshly ground pepper, and grill over high heat until lightly browned, about 15 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside until cool enough to handle. Slice kernels from cobs and place in a large bowl with 1 cup each of diced seedless cucumber, drained and rinsed canned chickpeas, and chopped toasted walnuts, Mix in 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice, 1/4 cup chopped fresh oregano, 3 Tablespoons olive oil, and 1 minced medium garlic clove. Toss in 1 cup crumbled feta cheese. Serve immediately or chill until ready to serve.
Recipe from country living magazine. So cute served in small glass canning jars hinged lids.

Summertime Salad

2/3 cups olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
1 garlic clove, minced
pepper to taste
1/4 cup salad vinegar
3 T fresh basil,chopped
1/4 cup onion,chopped
1 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese cubes
1 pt cherry tomatoes, halved

Prepare dressing by mixing first 5 ingredients well; toss in remaining ingredients. chill until ready to serve.
